about

Austin-based musician Jake Andrews has released a new single, taking his guitar for a wild ride on an updated version of the Surf Rock classic “Pipeline” (originally a Top 5 hit by The Chantays in 1963.)

Recorded live-in-the-studio with Corey Britz (Bush, Eagles Of Death Metal) on bass, Alvino Bennett (Stevie Wonder, Bryan Ferry) on drums and Mike Thompson (The Eagles, Tom Jones) on keyboards, “Pipeline” was produced by singer-guitarist Carla Olson (Jake played lead guitar on Carla’s recent radio hit “Street Fighting Man.”)

An alternate version of “Pipeline” appears on Jake’s recent album “Train Back Home” released via BFD/The Orchard.
